Marseilles - La Mède Platform

Following the receipt of the building permit in early October, Ecoslops has just turned the « first sods » for its new production unit of petroleum products from dehydrated slops within the site of La Mède Platform(TOTAL REFINING FRANCE ), in the Bouches-du-Rhône (13).
This project mainly includes:
storage of dehydrated slops, constituting the charge of the process;
- a Petroleum Residue Recycling (P2R) unit, which is the heart of Ecoslops’ technology. The refining scheme for P2R (micro-refining) is based on several successive distillations of dehydrated slops. The substances marketable at the P2R unit outlet are standard petroleum products on specification (heavy fuel oil and light bitumen) or intermediate petroleum products (light petrol, naphtha and diesel);
- storage of finished petroleum products.
Il constitue une nouvelle Installation Classée pour la Protection de l'Environnement (ICPE), soumise à autorisation environnementale conformément à l’article L. 181-1 de la partie législative du Code de l’Environnement.
